The San Jose market is showing some life after 4 months of slowness. The Morgan Hill and Gilroy market is still slow. The homes that are selling are priced right. But still many more days on the market than last year. The best way to beat the market and not be behind the market is to have the right agent with market experience to sell your home. Never fear we are still here. The market has shown a little life this week. If a home is priced right and looks good it will sell. We took over a home that was listed for 90 days with another company and reduced the price 30k and staged it and made some marketing changes and it sold in 6 days with two offers over asking price. So is the market still slow. Yes, but with the right cake mix you can beat the market. This home was in Gilroy. Homes in San Jose market is starting to show sales. But there is still more time needed to see the rest of this story. The market was flat and prices are soft. The real estate market is almost like the stock market its going up and down every week. I am happy to report that Interest Rates have not changed very much as compared to last week's Rate Update here in San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy Real Estate market. We had some ups and downs during the course of the week, but it all evened out for yesterday's comparison. As expected the FOMC raised the rates by another .25%, their 16th straight increase since 2004. The Fed’s Policy Statement left the door open for the Fed to possibly pause their consecutive string of rate hikes and reiterated that future monetary policy will be based on incoming economic data. This means that the economic reports from now until the next Fed meeting on June 29th will carry much more weight and likely have a greater influence on pricing.
